Sometimes it's hard to trust 
for with trust comes betrayal
 
Sometimes it's hard to love 
for with love comes tears and pain
 
Sometimes it's hard to try
For with trying comes failure
Sometimes it's hard to cry 
for crying is often seen as a sign of vulnerability
 
Sometimes it's hard to be me 
for many people are trying to hurt me
 
They laugh when I cry 
They smile when I frown 
They rejoice in my failure 
And wish that I’m gone
 
Oh God, this feeling inside of me right now
Just too heavy to bear
Just too hard to endure….
 
I don’t want to lose hope 
for I know You're my strength
And I don’t want to surrender 
for I know You're a winner
 
Help me dear LORD to cast away these feelings,
These thoughts,
These aches,
Carry me on Your arms
And make me feel safe…
