So! It’s been a great while since I last got the chance to watch a drama in marathon. Not to mention that it is a Korean one. I’ve always been a fan of J-Dramas more but I must say…. Now, having the chance to see all three variations of Hana Yori Dango (Taiwanese, Japanese and Korean) live adaptations, I’ve come to love the Korean one the most.
The names—- well, I still favor the Japanese one coz it includes the real names from the manga… and its easier to remember…. Like Doumyouji Tsukasa (Korean: Gu Jun Pyo/Taiwanese: Dao Ming Si) ; Hanazawa Rui, etc…
What got me hooked in this newest version is the story as a whole.
- Makino/ Jang Di is not just a strong woman who knows how to fight. She also has something she’s great about *swimming* and later on, a doctor.
- Doumyouji/ Jun Pyo’s mother isn’t as hateful as the other versions….
- Rui/ Ji hoo was illustrated more thoroughly. How great of a person he is. It made me more confident that somewhere out there, my soul mate does exist. And he doesn’t have to be my love interest at all to be able to stand by me.
- The special scenes are awesome! Even if I am not a tourism major, I guess I would still appreciate the wonderful places featured in here.
